It is 1769 that the first automobile was made.The automobiles that were being used during this time looked different from the cars that we have today. They seemed more of the carriages that are pulled by horses. Later, people decided it would be a good idea to have carriages that do not need horses to pull them.That’s when they discovered that they could add engine to the carriages. The carriages that were developed were called horseless carriages although they did not take off impressively.
An internal engine that consumed petrol energy was invented in 1876 by a German called Nikolas Otto.The first time that a usable engine was made was at this time. Experimental cars that used petrol as the main source of fuel were then used to test the engine.
Cars that consumed petrol were designed in 1885 by mechanics and engineers and were made available to citizens. The modern cars cannot be compared with those cars because they were slow, and they had three big wheels.
The first more reliable car was made in 1908. It was referred to as Ford Model T and driving this car was far better. Since the car was produced in large quantities, it was easily available to a lot of people. This made the car affordable to many people as the production in large quantities lowered the production cost.
Volkswagen Beetle was the first car that became popular. Due to the Second World War, the manufacture of Volkswagen beetle was stopped after it had been designed in the 1930s by Ferdinand Porsche. Many people became familiar with the car because it was affordable, strong and could not break easily.
Several people in the world had better earnings in the 1950s and the only way they could show their wealth was to buy big cars and customize them.Some of the car parts that were used were such as electronic windows, fins, tail lights and they became popular to many people.Unfortunately, the large cars used to consume a lot of petrol though the price of petrol was not high and people had income.
James Bond started driving Aston Martin in 1960swhen cars became famous.However, this was just seen in the movies until the 1980s when the cars became popular to many people in the world.
